Then head to #fitting-room, our forum for posting tracks and figuring out what they are. THE CORE MECHANIC One rule matters most: every comment needs a genre call. Fits something established? Name it, and explain why — what ties it there. Nothing fits? Propose a new term as "word" or "word-word" (e.g. "Demo-Synth"), and make your case the same way. A label with no reasoning doesn't count. WHEN A GENRE TAKES OFF If a term gains traction, a mod may open a channel for it under GENRE INCUBATORS. The poster can claim and curate it (min. 2 posts), or opt out and let the community grow it instead. BEYOND THE TRACKS #word-yard — float a genre concept, no track needed #from-the-wild — share real examples of lesser-known genres THE BASICS Give before you get — engage with someone else's post before asking for feedback. Keep spam and self-promo out of channels where it doesn't belong. That's it. Come build some vocabulary.
